Dick Orange Presents:Frank and Friends

Dick Orange returns to Carysbrook producing and starring in Frank and Friends. A musical revue that will feature the songs made famous by Frank Sinatra,Tony Bennett,Dean Martin,Mel Torme,Nat “King”Cole and other great artists of the 30s,40s and 50s.

Dick brings two good friends to the stage who are both beautiful and talanted singers and dancers. You may recognize Jane Scaterna and Geri Carlson Sauls from recent smash performances at local theaters. They will add their star power to this night of outstanding musical entertainment.

Expect an evening filled with the songs from the Great American Songbook,stories about Fank and friends (including the Rat Pack and opprtunities to sing along. Accompanying them will be the Jim Niederburger Jazz Trio. This will be a memerable and fun evening. One you won’t want to miss!

Award winning bluegrass takes the stage with two great performances!

From the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains comes “Willow Branch”  a traditional bluegrass band. Winners of the “Best Bluegrass Band In Virginia”by the Virginia Folk Music Assosiation. Willow Branch has taken their music to The Grand Ole Oprey and The Govenors Mansion…. and on November 12th they’ll bring it to Carysbrook!

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Grass and Eclectric Company is bringing dynamic powered accoustic music to The Central Virginia area. Favorites in bluegrass,country,gospel,Americana and original music performed with great musicianship,tight harmonies and sincere enthusiasm! As their name inplies they tend to bend the traditional rules of bluegrass a bit. Don’t be surprised to hear your favorite classic rock,R&B or even a country tune laced a dobro and mandolin. Why? How? When? The mind of a child is always curious and the author of ”The JungleBook”knew this when he wrote Just So Stories. Discover wild imagination and the fun of Rudyard Kiplings ”How the leapord got his spots”,“How the first letter was written”and other tales. Fluvanna’s Got Talent

Do you Sing,Tell Jokes,Play an instrument? Do you have a talent that the world needs to see? Than you need to audition for Fluvanna’s Got Talent! Auditions will be held March 3,2012 from 1-4pm at the Carysbrook Performing Arts Center. Tryouts will be judged by a group of local and talented judges. The top performers selected by the judges will perform before a large appreciative audience on Saturday,March 31st at the Carysbrook Performing Arts Center. Drummer,percussionist and composer Robert Jospe’is known for his inventive use of rythamic styles incorporating Sals,Samba, Swing,Funk and African rythams into his own unique and distinctive style of contemporary jazz. Jospe’leader of his own jazz and world beat ensemble,Inner Rythem,has been performing at festivals,concert halls,college venues,clubs and private functions throughout the Mid Atlantic region since 1990.
